Sales Office Opens, Floor Plans Released for Vida at 2558 Mission Over the last year, 2558 Market – the Vida building – has been slowly rising in the heart of the Mission District. Really, the eight-story building is part of an entire redevelopment around Mission and 20th streets, which includes the New Mission Theater and a brand-new fitness center. Of course, the Oyster Development-led project is garnering plenty of attention from potential buyers for a few reasons. Vida is located in a supreme Mission District location, with BART just a few blocks away; each unit is customizable with modern appliances; and the units will receive tons of natural light and offer stellar views. Buyers can choose from studio, one- and two-bedroom condos in the 114-unit building. Prices start around $600,000 for smaller units, which are being called junior one-bedrooms; $730,000-$850,000 for the one-bedroom units; and around $1 million and up for two-bedroom homes. Currently, a number of one-bedroom units are available in the first release. And they’re going to go fast. When the sales office opened in early March for an invite-only crowd, at least 20 units were placed under contract by the end of the event, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Now, in early April, as the sales office opens to the general public, just 27 units are being released. These units are some of only a few new construction condos available in San Francisco at the moment – so the race is on. Amenities at 2558 Vida – Customizable, Modern Furnishings; Efficient Floor Plans The Kwen Henwi-designed Vida offers a bunch of available amenities – the first, and...

The wait is almost over. After a year of construction… and some controversy… a soaring new condo complex in San Francisco’s Inner Mission district is just weeks away from opening its doors for business. Its sales office doors, that is. The Vida Condominiums, a colorful, eight-story development at 2558 Mission Street, won’t be ready for residency until early next year. But that’s not stopping anyone. The attraction is so strong for wanna-be buyers, many are putting 3-5% down in order to secure their find, with the rest of the down payment due upon purchase. Not surprising, since more than 60 percent of new construction in the area is selling for more than the asking price. The Vida, with its colorful, geometric motif, will offer 114 studio, one or two bedroom units, each approx. 680 – 1,166 square feet, some with stunning views of “Twin Peaks” and the Bay; Others overlook the vibrant street below, known for its eclectic array of shops, restaurants and vendors. It is the latest sign of a growing renaissance in one of the city’s most culturally rich and diverse neighborhoods. Long a working-class stronghold, The Mission is changing fast; It is now one of San Francisco’s fastest-evolving, hippest neighborhoods for all things edgy and artsy. Locals say it is becoming a highly desirable enclave for upscale professionals; They say it is even more renown, now, as a haven for Foodies of all stripes! After several years of low inventory across the city, The Mission is currently ranked number one among the most popular places for new home development in San Francisco… and San Fran is...
