Going, going, almost gone!  The stunning Linea Condos 40% sold and going quick!

Sales started only a month ago and the building is already 40% sold.  Once sales reach 51% there will most likely be a price increase.  Given the design, location, amenities and relatively low HOA dues it is no wonder that it is popular.

The Linea is designed by the famous andtalented architect, Bernardo Fort-Brescia, with a bold design of glass walls giving the visual appearance of blocks stacked at different angles.  To me, it is quite a pleasing design and is a far cry from a glass box which we’ve come to expect in mid-rise construction. The lobby, with a concierge, is off Buchanan Street and has a huge metal sculpture of geometric blocks hanging from the high celling.  The front desk is well positioned by a wall of marble with lighting designed to show off both the marble wall and the hanging sculpture. Besides a stunning lobby and a concierge, the building's 115 units have walls of energy efficient glass, spectacular view terrace with multiple seating areas and a landscaped courtyard.  All 2-bedroom units have parking (the developer will credit $40,000 if parking is not wanted). The HOA dues are quite reasonable and include radiant heat!

Booming Market Octavia Area - Old School to Trendy

The Market Octavia area, as it is now being called, is rife with new development.  A new Whole Foods Market has opened, CVS is taking over the long vacant former video rental location and the recycling center is reported to be in the process of being closed.  There is even talk that Safeway is going to go through a big remodel/renovation.

The rapidly-selling Linea Condos are smack in the middle and close to the Muni underground station, trendy Hayes Valley and the shops of Castro.  The performance arts district with the new jazz center, opera and symphony are all within walking distance.   From the old to the new, trendy restaurants and entertainment options abound. My favorites in the area are: Blackbird, The Mint, Churchills, It’s Tops (for the best late night breakfast in town), Zuni and Chez Manan in Hayes Valley to name just a few.
