Real Estate Testimonials for Gary Belk

Gary was my agent on a condo purchase in SF and did a remarkable job with a tricky seller on the other side, and another offer on the table. I got the condo and am incredibly happy with Gary’s services.
He worked really hard to negotiate with the seller’s agent to keep me in the running and to close the deal at the end.
He encouraged me to see the unit when I wasn’t interested because the pictures were horrible and I am SO glad he did. It was all because of him.
Gary went above and beyond, doing the little and big things, and that made a huge difference.  He’s a lot of fun, great to be around and a super professional. A perfect mix.

I’d highly recommend him to anyone!

Gary is a true professional.  He repeatedly demonstrated a deep understanding of the buyer/agent relationship and a commitment to making sure home buying was a positive experience for me.

Two years ago, I had a dissatisfying experience with several offers I had made coming off the rails due to shenanigans.  Fast forward to three months ago – I decided to re-enter the home buying market to see how far I could get without an agent of my own.  As a first time buyer, didn’t get far – right up to the point where it was time to make an offer.

I had two other coworkers enthusiastically recommend that I speak to Gary, whom they had worked with recently.   I’m very glad I took their advice.  Gary brought a lot to the table, and my time looking alone stood in stark contrast to the viewing experience with Gary on my team.

Gary is unique in that he combines the expertise of a real estate agent with that of a general contractor – yet despite his long resume, he was extremely patient with my endless first-timer questions and hypothetical scenarios.  He was very easy to communicate with and always available to talk through new listings.  He contributed no pressure to the bidding process whatsoever, and didn’t appear the least bit phased by seeing an offer fall through, despite the lost time he had invested.  He has a vast network of contacts who are all top-notch in their own right.  Most importantly, he is an excellent listener, which is probably what makes him so effective.

Gary is also an all around fun guy who really understands the city.  I really enjoyed our Sunday viewing tours and hope our paths cross again in the future.

My husband and I recently purchased our first home in SF.  It was a scary process and because we were using a VA loan, a somewhat defeating process at times.  Gary was an amazing agent to work with. He stayed on top of all the listings for us and made sure we were looking in good locations. He seemed to have many connections with other listing agents which helped us out a lot when we wanted to see houses after hours, or for the 3rd or 4th time.
We were set on buying a condo in the heart of downtown SF, but when it became harder and harder to find properties that were VA approved that would suite our needs, he began showing us single family homes that we could actually afford with so much more to offer. He took the time to guide us through the process and make us feel comfortable with our decisions.  He never tried to persuade us in any direction, he was just there to help and inform.
Even after the deed was signed and the house was ours, Gary continued to reach out to us to make sure we were happy and everything was the way it should be.  He sent us comparative listings for houses recently sold in our area which confirmed that we got our house for a great price.  We would highly recommend Gary to anyone looking for a new home, and will definitely be using him for future purchases.

Above all, Gary is efficient, honest and knowledgeable. Unlike many realtors, Gary will genuinely look out for you and help you get the best deal, period. He really knows his market, and is always up-to-date on the latest deals. He’s very honest, down-to-earth, and frank in his opinions about the pros and cons of a given property over here. We never felt like he tried to pressure us into buying.
As an added benefit he is a general contractor and consults for people wanting to renovate properties so he has insight that other agents simply don’t have.  He was able to see through strange floor plans and ugly, out of date kitchens, and help us visualize how we could do some simple remodeling projects to make it a perfect home for us.
Ultimately, Gary is the kind of real-estate agent that most buyers are looking for. I would highly recommend Gary to anyone and have referred many of my closest friends to him.

I have relied on Gary since 1994.  First to help me find and purchase my first property, and repeatedly over the years to develop property and to optimize my real estate holdings given the crazing dynamics of the real estate market.  In particular, I rely on Gary’s vision for using and enjoying property and for his integrity.  I know that when I ask him for his advice, he responds as if he was in my position.  It is great to have access to such a creative and insightful real estate professional.

Gary is an amazing agent.  He helped us navigate the SF real estate market this summer and we are thrilled with our new home.  Despite a rocky negotiation process, Gary was patient and knew exactly what to do.  We paid exactly what we wanted to pay and now we can afford the cosmetic fixes that Gary helped us identify.  Gary has an advantage over other agents.  He knows real estate, construction, and design.  Plus he is very friendly, flexible and fun.
