Cost vs best project tracking software. Value Report 2012/13
Wondering why so many parking spaces seem to be taken by construction workers or why there is scaffolding somewhere on nearly every block in San Francisco?
I wanted to share with you that the most recent Annual ‘Cost vs Value’ Survey by Remodeling Magazine and the National Association of Realtors is just out and gives us the answer.
Only in the San Francisco metro area is the return over 100% in nearly every major category of remodeling, from attic bedroom additions to basement conversions to home theaters. In my opinion if the numbers for the greater metro were removed and only numbers from the City were used the returns would be much. In my experience this year that has been the case. I’ve seen as much as a 150% return on remodeling dollars on a small cottage in Noe Valley.
